<---This is from the 'early' days. This is the "Old Fashioned Picnic" in Hamtramck. . . 1989 I think. . . STREETCORNER is attired in our first tux. . . off-white with maroon accessories.

Dan is playing his vintage Rickenbacker --> guitar and his keyboard rig includes two Casio CZ-101 synthesizers. He is clean-shaven so this is probably 1989 or 1990.

<-- Note the state-of-the-art stage lighting. . .

STREETCORNER at Lafayette One in Pontiac -->

<-- This is Chaz. Chaz was with STREETCORNER for about a year around 1986 - 87.

STREETCORNER at Ted's on Opdyke Rd.--> in Auburn Hills. STREETCORNER used to pack'em in on Friday and Saturday nights. Note in the lower right corner the date stamp from September 87.

<-- STREETCORNER used to throw hall parties. This one was a Halloween Costume party. Here's Bob Carroll in his 1700's garb and powdered wig.

Curtis Patterson trying to open this box of --> wine. STREETCORNER was legendary for their love of wine. It was not uncommon to find them all sitting in a parked vehicle in a group member's driveway an hour or two after rehearsal was finished drinking wine, singing and laughing their fool heads off. Typical dialogue at a gig might be,

"How long before we have to play?"

"Five minutes. . ."

"Alright then. . . let's make a run to the store. . ."

<-- Dan and Dawn at the Halloween party. Dan went dressed as a proctologist. Note the disposable exam glove which had the forefingers smeared with peanut butter . . . well, it looked like peanut butter anyway. . .

<-- New Years Eve 1990 (I think) STREETCORNER would often play out of town gigs on NYE (this one is East Tawas I think).

More NYE fun.-->

<-- Another NYE. . . 1991 I think. . .

<--Hamtramck Festival. STREETCORNER played at the Hamtramck Festival for 10 years (from 1989 through 1999). This festival ran over the 4 day Labor Day weekend and had attendance figures that often exceeded those of the Michigan State Fair which happened during the same time period. The City of Hamtramck would block off Joseph Campeau and there was lots of food, carnival rides, music and beer. . . lots and lots of beer. . .

View from the stage at the Hamtramck Festival>

It was not uncommon to play for a crowd of 10,000 or more at this event. The crowds were enthusiastic and LOVED STREETCORNER.

<-- Hon. Robert Kozaren, mayor of Hamtramck even had the DPW make STREETCORNER our own street sign.

. . . I remember. . . that night in May. . .

<-- Butch Runyon.

Dan "on stage" in Hamtramck. .-->

At the Hamtramck Festival STREETCORNER played on a flat-bed trailer which wasn't very deep. Dan had to set up very close to the edge of the stage. He often had people tugging on his pant legs asking stupid questions in the middle of a performance. A typical exchange;

"Hey. . you guys are great. . . can my buddy sing with you?"

"No."

"@#)$(* you man. . . you guys suck"

"Security. . . please come to the stage. . "

<-- More Hamtramck Festival memories

STREETCORNER almost always closed the--> show with 'SHOUT'.

"Hey hey hey hey"

"I can see the light. . ."

Etc. etc.

STREETCORNER in Tucson, Arizona.-->

STREETCORNER often played for conventions. In 1997 (I think) we played for BMW in Tucson AZ. This is Filmel in (booking agent) Darryl Hinson's garage wearing Darryl's cowboy hat.

"Time for another beer, partner. . ?"

"I reckon so. . ."

<--STREETCORNER in Berlin.

In 2000, STREETCORNER played to a tourism convention crowd in Berlin. What a party.
