Telemarketing Revenge!

Are you plagued by unwanted phone solicitors calling you trying to sell you things you don't want at times (like dinner time) that are the least convenient for you? I know I am! We got on the 'Do Not Call' list but it doesn't kick in until October. So, I figure "Why not have some fun with it?" After all, they called me, right? If they call me I reserve the right to record the conversation. . . so that's what I do. Click below to hear how I handled these particular calls.

NOTE: Telemarketers work from 'lists'. You get on a list by being a homeowner, having a certain income level etc. Apparently you get on the 'do not call' list by handling telemarketing calls the way I did because since this call the number of calls I get from phone solicitors is WAY down to almost zero. The key is to keep them on the phone and waste their time. Verbal abuse, hanging up on them etc. while personally satisfying isn't as effective as wasting their time with a conversation that goes nowhere. Time is money and the best way to make the calls stop is to make it a losing proposition for them financially.
